CFP Platform Guidance
Can I contribute new methods or emission factors to the CFP?
The Cool Farm Alliance welcomes discussions on enhancing the existing methodology within the Cool Farm Platform. The foundation of the Cool Farm Platform relies entirely on peer-reviewed empirical research, drawing from a diverse array of published ...
How long does it take to complete a greenhouse gas assessment with the CFP?
It takes about 15-30 minutes to get a rough estimate of your carbon footprint by entering information off the top of your head. To refine this estimate using information from farm records can take a few hours, as you will need to make sure you ...
Can I assess GHG emissions for a whole farm?
The CFP works on a per-product basis. A whole-farm assessment is a GHG emission inventory considering all aspects that may influence the overall footprint of a farm/business including arable land etc., while the current CFT does a product carbon ...
How can I accurately select my IPCC climate zone?
The IPCC map is indeed very pixelated and without geolocations. There isn't another map that draws the lines between zones clearer or lets you choose the geolocation. If you are uncertain as your location is on the border of two zones, always pick ...
Which products and regions are covered by the CFP?

Will custom emission factors be supported in CFP V3.0?
Yes. CFP 3.0 will include the ability to apply custom emission factors, including for fertiliser production emissions.
Is Climate Zone and Soil Classification automatically selected in the tool?
