When adding data about purchased feed in your GHG assessments, it's important to include the transportation of this feed to the farm. This aspect is essential for a complete cradle to farm gate approach, as transport emissions will contribute to the overall footprint of feed. Currently, GFLI emission factors do not include this. The Global Feed Lifecycle Assessment Institute (GFLI) is currently interested in developing a transport database to enhance these assessments, as often the distance or mode are not known.
