What is Migration from CFT to CFP and when will it take place?
Following the successful launch of Cool Farm v3.0 on Cool Farm Platform in 2025, the process of Data and User Migration from Cool Farm Tool (CFT) to Cool Farm Platform (CFP) is now underway. As part of this process, we will migrate data available in the Cool Farm Tool to our new and updated Cool Farm Platform. Data includes:
- existing user accounts and farms
- all of the users’ historic GHG assessment data of crops (incl. annuals, perennials, rice & potato) and cattle
- aggregation groups (share codes)
- as well as any associated information with the above.
This migration will centralise historic and existing data of users in one place - the Cool Farm Platform - for easier access and management. The Cool Farm Platform is and will be the hosting environment for any existing or new tools or metrics the Cool Farm offers to its users and members.
The migration of historic assessment data and users will be phased. Crop only members will be migrated first - planned for Q3 2026 - while cattle users will follow later (exact timeline to be confirmed). Internal and member testing will take place beforehand, with migration sign-off following successful testing. We will confirm the exact dates in due course.
