Were refrigerant or seed emissions already included in CFT via defaults, or are they entirely new in CFP? If we skip refrigerants in CFP, are any default emissions calculated?
Seeds and refrigerants are new sections in CFP and haven’t been there in CFT (except seeds for potato). They’re optional in the sense that the assessment will still calculate if you leave them blank, but the emissions from those sections won’t be included unless you provide data. For a complete cradle to farm‑gate footprint, certain sections—including seeds and refrigerants—should be filled in future assessments. For historical baselines, you can decide whether to backfill; you can also note that older assessments used an older methodology without these sections.
