Is the new perennials pathway consistent with the Land Sector Removal Guidance (LSRG)?
Similar to our annual pathway, perennial pathway is partially consistent with the draft LSRG guidance, though it highlights certain areas needing enhancement, such as nursery production and refrigerant management, and the specified approach required for removal reporting. This pathway is proactive in improving tagging for transport, allowing reporting boundaries, and generating biomass residues which will better aid SOC reporting in our future version in 2025. The detailed disaggregation of results also offers flexibility for aggregation into various reporting formats, including FLAG criteria, showcasing an ongoing commitment to LSRG consistency and reporting versatility.
