What if I have a dairy cross-breed?
The breeds in the drop-down list are used as indicative for size of animal and typical fat and protein content of milk. If you have cross-breed cattle, select the dominant breed type.
As the tool is set up globally and it is difficult to reflect all existing options, it is not possible to capture all breeds in the list. Thus, if you have data on average weights, fat and protein content, you can simply choose the closest match, adjust the default values that are entered by the tool, and make clear through the assessment name what cross breed you have assessed.
